Onnit Cyber Monday Sale: Save Up to 25%, Earn 10% More Off, Free Go Packs

Onnit Cyber Monday Sale: Save Up to 25%, Earn 10% More Off, Free Go PacksLike I mentioned on Black Friday, Onnit is having a huge sale, and it’s actually getting better today for Cyber Monday. You can still save up to 25% on supplements, foods, packages, fitness equipment and gear, but you can also save up to an additional 10% based on how much you spend. If you spend $150 or more, you get an additional 5% off. If you spend $250 or more, you get an additional 10% off on top of the aforementioned discounts. That’s bonkers! Plus every order regardless of its amount will receive a free single go pack, which is essentially a single serving of something like Alpha Brain or Shroom Tech Sport.

This incredible Cyber Monday sale ends tonight, Monday, December 2, 2013 at 11:59 PST. Remember that PST is actually three hours behind EST, so that would really be 2:59AM EST.

This is all I’m going to say on the Onnit Cyber Monday Sale. Below is the breakdown of the savings:

Save Up to 30% (and more!) During Onnit's 2014 Black Friday Cyber Monday Sale

Update: 12/01/2014

Today is Cyber Monday, which means it’s the last day of Onnit’s big Black Friday/Cyber Monday 2014 sale. Before the sale ends, you’ll want to head over to the Onnit website and check out the TPC: Total Primate Care page. TPC includes all of Onnit’s best supplements divided into day and night packs, available in 15 and 30-day supplies. This stuff is normally out of stock, so the fact that it’s actually available and on sale today makes it a no brainer. Stock up while this stuff is on sale and save a ton of money compared to buying the supplements individually. Remember, you have until 11:59PM EST (8:59PM PST) today, December 1, 2014, to save big money.

Update: 11/28/2014

I’ve noticed a lot of people heading to this page looking for Onnit’s Black Friday and Cyber Monday 2014 sales. This is an old post from last year, but is still getting hits from Google, so I figured I’d update this post with information for this year.

Unlike previous years where you could save up to 25% off Onnit products, Onnit has launched its biggest sale of the year, and maybe ever. The company has said that this will be the biggest sale of the year, so I wouldn’t expect a bigger sale on Boxing Day or heading into 2015. That being said, if you’ve held back on buying something or are looking to stock up on supplements or foods you use regularly, this is the time to buy.

Here’s how the 2014 Onnit Black Friday and Cyber Monday sale breaks down:

  • Save 25% off all supplements
  • Save 18% off all foods and fitness equipment
  • Save 30% off all gear (clothes, bags, etc.)
  • Save an additional 5% off on all orders over $150
  • Save an additional 10% off on all orders over $250!

As you can see, this adds up to some serious savings.

If you were interested in the Primal Bells, you can get the whole line at a crazy discount and save a boat load of cash. This works for any of the expensive Onnit exercise equipment actually. And, if you stock up on multiple bottles of supplements you can save a lot. If you need a new blender, the Blendtec WildSide–which retails for $500 on the Onnit website–is available for about $336 this weekend. This is MADNESS!

It’s a cliche, I know, but literally the more you buy the more you save in the long run.

So click here to check out the special Black Friday and Cyber Monday page that Onnit has posted for a full breakdown of the sale, which ends at 11:59PM EST on Monday, December 1, 2014. You still have all weekend, but don’t put it off and wait because stuff sells out often. The Zombie Bells are out of stock, the Total Primate Care is out of stock, and who knows what could be next.

Have a great weekend everybody!

In my post earlier today I mentioned how I was going to tone down the Onnit posts on this blog, so I’ll keep this one short and sweet.

Like every other online and brick and mortar store, Onnit is having a sale this Black Friday, and it’s the best one of the year. If there are any supplements supplements, foods, package deals, or fitness gear that you’ve had your eye on, now’s the time to pull the trigger. Some of this stuff can also make a great Christmas gift as well, so there’s that to think about too. At any rate, there are some great deals, so act quickly, because some of this stuff is sure to go out of stock over the weekend.

And for the record, this sale includes everything from Primal Bells and Zombie Bells to Onnit 180 drink mix, Total Primate Care, Hemp Force, T+ testosterone booster, Alpha Brain, Blendtec blenders, and everything else.

Here’s the breakdown of the savings during Onnit’s Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale:

This sale starts on Friday, November 29, 2013 at 12AM EST. So to those of us who don’t go to bed at 9PM, this means Thursday night at midnight everything goes on sale. The sale is on all weekend and concludes on Cyber Monday (Monday, December 2, 2013) at 11:59 PST. Remember that PST is actually three hours behind EST, so that would really be 2:59AM EST. Confused yet? Me too. Not sure why Onnit chose to list these times in two time zones, but there you have it. Visit onnit.com sometime this weekend after midnight tonight (but before midnight on Monday night) and you can save up to 25% off everything.

A Powerful Joe Rogan T-Shirt!

A Powerful Joe Rogan T-ShirtI realize this isn’t specifically a Joe Rogan T-shirt, as it doesn’t have his face on it and it isn’t a part of his Higher Primate line. But let’s face it: Joe was the one who made the “POWERFUL!” phrase popular, at least to listeners of his The Joe Rogan Experience podcast.

What I like about this powerful shirt is how clean and simple it is. It’s not like the garish Deathsquad T-shirts that Redban sells, and it doesn’t scream that you listen to TJRE podcast. It’s a subtle nod to let those who know know that you have good taste in podcasts and fitness gear and supplements. Yes guys, this is actually an Onnit T-shirt available on the Onnit website, but it’s clearly Rogan-inspired. Grab one if you like Joe, like his podcast, or want to support Onnit and the awesome things Aubrey and the guys over there are doing.

The shirt is heather gray with big black block letters across the front. The left sleeve has a tiny black patch with the double N Onnit logo, and the back has a small Onnit logo just below the neck hole. Clean, subtle, and comfortable. This shirt is a tri-blend crewneck T, made from a 50% polyester, 25% cotton, and 25% rayon blend. It weighs 4.26 oz. if you care about how much your shirts weigh. For detailed measurements, head over to the Onnit website and figure out which size you are. They come in all sizes from small up to XXL for you guys who are extra swole, and they’re less than $20. POWERFUL!

Onnit Zombie Bells Now Available!

Onnit Zombie Bells Now Available!Oh shit! Everyone has been waiting weeks for these, and now the Onnit Zombie Bells are finally available. I say “they” because there is actually more than one Zombie Bell. In fact, there are four Zombie Bells in total, varying in size of course, and they’re all available right now. Halloween has always been my favorite holiday, and now it’s that much cooler.

Let’s get right into it and take a look at each of these Zombie Bells working from smallest to largest, from the right side of the image below over to the left:

Onnit Zombie Bells Kettlebells

Brain Goblin Zombie Bell
This is the smallest of the Zombie Bells, weighing in at a half pood, which is 18 lbs. He has rotting flesh, exposed teeth, and angry lifeless eyes that stare back at you as you swing him around.

Staple Head Zombie Bell
The Staple Head Zombie Bell weighs a full pood or 36 lbs. He’s missing his nose and his lips and his scalp has been ripped off revealing his skull underneath, what’s remaining of his flesh is held to his head with staples.

Ghostface Thrilla Zombie Bell
The Ghostface Thrilla Zombie bell weighs 1.5 poods or 54 lbs. This guy has an angry sneer, he’s missing a nose and his lips, and like the others, his flesh is rotting off his face.

The Mega Death Zombie Bell
The most badass of all the Zombie Bells is the two pood 72 lb. Mega Death Zombie Bell. This guy too is a little angry that he’s a member of the living dead. Someone’s gotten to him and managed to clamp his mouth shut. While you won’t have to worry about him biting a chunk out of your body, he’s definitely the most intimidating of the Zombie Bells to workout with.

All four of these Onnit Zombie Bell kettlebells are crafted with chip-resistant iron, so if you want to workout with them, they’ll stand the test of time. If you want to display them as works of art, they’re perfect for that too. They’ll also make incredible weapons should a zombie apocalypse take over the world at any time.

As I said, these Zombie Bells can be displayed as works of art, and that’s not hyperbole. They are beautifully crafted with incredible attention to detail. Each Zombie Bell is made to human skull proportions. They’re balanced perfectly as well, so if you do want to work out with them, you can, and they’re feel just like a traditional kettlebell will. But these are infinitely more badass.

Like the Primal Bells, the Zombie Bells are available for a limited time only. If you want to buy one, don’t wait. If you think you might want the whole collection, scoop them all up. If you choose either of the two biggest Zombie Bells in your order, you’ll also get a pair of Onnit Zombie Bell wrist guards to sweeten the deal.

Happy Halloween!

The Howler Primal Bell from Onnit Now Available!

The Howler Primal Bell from Onnit Now Available!I know everyone is all excited about the new Onnit Zombie Bells, and I am too. I say “bells” plural because there is more than one. Aubrey Marcus said on a recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience podcast that there will actually be four Zombie Bells kettlebells in various sizes. So, it looks like this will be an ongoing thing for Onnit: kettlebells in four different varieties each with a different look. (Update 10/28/13: Zombie Bells now available!)

The first of these stylized kettlebells was of course the series of Primal Bells. Three were first released; the chimp, the ape, and then the orangutan, and yesterday the fourth in the series was released. This one is called The Howler!

The Howler is the smallest of the Primal Bells, weighing just a half pood, or 18 lbs. in terms we can all understand. This one looks like a screaming chimp with his fangs exposed. While it’s the smallest of the Primal Bells, it’s definitely the most menacing looking!

Like all the Primal Bells, The Howler is crafted from chip-resistant iron that will stand up to regular wear and tear and rusting as well. You can use this like a savage and keep it on display in the meantime. It’s a work of art that’s perfectly balanced, meaning you can use it like a traditional kettlebell and it won’t feel any different. It just looks infinitely more badass than a cannonball with a handle attached to it.

Check out the whole line of Primal Bells at Onnit, and if you haven’t bought any yet, you can buy all four in a bundle at a significant savings. You can save 15% total when you purchase all at once! But make sure you save up a bit of money for the Zombie Bells which are now available, just in time for Halloween!.

Check out this 360 degree view of the new Howler:

Joe Rogan Questions Everything Trailer

Joe Rogan Questions Everything TrailerWhile this doesn’t exactly fit in with the theme of the blog, I wanted to share with you the trailer for Joe Rogan’s new television show Joe Rogan Questions Everything. His new show debuts next week and from what I can tell, Joe spends each episode investigating things that fall into the realms of the paranormal or the unexplained. Joe has mentioned on his podcast The Joe Rogan Experience about looking for UFOs and bigfoot during the production of JRQE, which has me pretty stoked since I still have a copy of In Search of Bigfoot narrated by Leonard Nemoy on VHS! And I don’t even own a VCR!

This trailer for Joe Rogan Questions Everything was posted by the SyFy Channel on YouTube a week ago, but it only came to my attention yesterday which is why I’m sharing it with you guys now. Check it out after the jump.

Adding Salt to Drinking Water

Adding Salt to Drinking WaterRecently Aubrey Marcus (the brains behind Onnit Labs) was on Joe Rogan’s podcast (Joe is a co-owner of Onnit) and he was talking about a wide range of topics relating to the body and health when he spoke about drinking water. Aubrey mentioned that he adds a bit of Onnit Pink Himilayan Salt to his water before drinking it. Normally we’re looking to filter things out of our water, so why was he adding salt back into it?

It turns out that the filtering process strips out all the bad stuff that we don’t want in our bodies, but it also eliminates some of the good stuff as well. Minerals that our bodies need to function efficiently can be found in water, but filtering the water takes out these minerals. Adding a bit of salt to your drinking water allows you to drink clean water with the minerals your body needs as well.

Regular table salt isn’t necessarily what you should be reaching for when you’re looking to salt your drinking water. Instead, look for salt that’s naturally acquired, like the Pink Himalayan Salt that Aubrey uses. This salt is mined from salt deposits that are about 250 million years old, created long before we began to pollute the earth with heavy metals, pesticides, etc. The pink color is visual evidence that the salt is packed with 84 trace minerals and electrolytes that our bodies use and crave.

When adding Himalayan salt to drinking water, you’ll want to measure out about a teaspoon or a teaspoon and a half. You may also choose to simply swallow the salt and then follow it up with a glass of water. Ingesting water salted with Himalayan salt can have a profound effect on the body, such as boosting your energy, balancing your blood sugar, and curbing your appetite as well.

Onnit has for sale 12 oz. glass jars (complete with spoon) of Pink Himalayan Salt for sale, along with 2 lb. refill bags, and boxes of single-serving packets of salt, which are perfect for carrying with you. Add a packet of salt to a bottle of drinking water to get your minerals on the go.

Health Benefits of Kombucha Tea

Health Benefits of Kombucha TeaJoe Rogan got me curious about kombucha tea when he was talking about it on his podcast The Joe Rogan Experience. For a long while he was speaking of how good it tasted and how good it made him feel as well. After a bit of research it seems like the health benefits of kombucha could be real, or maybe they’re not.

Kombucha tea is full of probiotics. Probiotics are useful to our digestive systems. They help keep us regular and prevent us from getting backed up. That’s a good thing, and relatively easy to believe. These days, probiotics are in a lot of the foods on grocery store shelves, such as yogurt. Specific brands of yogurt use the inclusion of these probiotics as the main selling point.

Others claim some different health benefits of kombucha aside from staying regular. Many believe that kombucha helps to boost the body’s immune system, promoting a healthier, more well-balanced metabolism and internal organs. Some say it helps with baldness, arthritis, and can improve skin quality. Chances are if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

While there are scores of people who swear by kombucha and its health benefits, it may not be seen that way by those in the medical industry. The fact is there aren’t enough (or any, really) studies on kombucha to prove its supposed benefits one way or the other. The only thing I can suggest is trying kombucha tea for yourself for a little while and see how you feel. Perhaps going in with a little skepticism is a good thing and will curb any placebo effect that you could otherwise be attributing to the tea.

What is Kombucha Tea?

What is Kombucha Tea?Like many things related to fitness and health, I was first introduced to kombucha tea via The Joe Rogan Experience podcast. While he hasn’t spoken much about it lately, Joe seemed to be on a big kombucha kick a year or so ago. I haven’t yet had the opportunity to try it for myself, but I’ve always wondered, what is kombucha tea?

Kombucha tea is a tea that’s made by combining water, tea, sugar, bacteria, and yeast. Once combined, the bacteria and yeast consume the sugar, eventually producing a tea that’s fizzy like pop or beer, but with a slightly sour taste. Speaking of beer, the process of creating kombucha results in a tea that does contain alcohol, albeit a very small amount. Typically this is around one percent or less.

After looking into kombucha a little further, I realized that it’s actually possible to make it at home. All you need is a large glass jar, water, sugar, tea, and a symbiotic colony of bacteria and yeast, or SCOBY for short. The last ingredient can actually be found online quite easily. There are even dehydrated SCOBY specifically for making kombucha tea. The rest of the ingredients you likely already have in your cupboards, or can find quite easily.

What’s a little strange about kombucha tea for anyone who hasn’t seen it before is that the SCOBY actually floats to the surface of the tea during the seven-to-ten day fermentation process. When it’s ready to drink is really up to you. After a week or so, you begin tasting it daily until it becomes appealing to your palate. At that point, you can scoop out the SCOBY, add it to a new batch of kombucha, and then pour (or strain) out the remaining kombucha into glass bottles.

Joe Rogan’s Hemp Force Recipe

Joe Rogan's Hemp Force RecipeCertain days of the week can be a little more hectic than others. You may not have the time it takes to prepare a morning kale shake to get your day started off on the right foot. On those days, you might want something that’s a little quicker to prepare before you head out the door to start your day.

That’s when a protein shake can come in handy. Packed with vitamins, nutrients, and of course protein, a shake can take the place of breakfast and hold you over until your morning snack or even lunch. Onnit’s Hemp Force protein powder fits the bill nicely, but what’s a quick and easy way to prepare it?

Recently Joe Rogan revealed on his podcast The Joe Rogan Experience what his Hemp Force recipe is. He adds a can of his favorite coconut water—C2O Coconut Water to be precise—with a couple scoops of Onnit’s Hemp Force protein powder and he’s good to go. No need to prepare fruits and vegetables, and no need for a blender either. Simply pour the can into a cup, add in the Hemp Force powder, stir, and drink.

Onnit’s Hemp Force protein powder is packed with amino acids, fiber, omega fatty acids, and protein. With ingredients like maca root, cocoa, and stevia, it’s not only healthy, but one of the sweetest and most delicious protein shakes available. Try it using Joe Rogan’s recipe with C2O coconut water, or kick it up a notch using my recipe found on this website for something that tastes more like a milkshake than something that’s good for you!
