Save 16% Off All Onnit Food Products and Blendtec Blenders

Save 16% Off All Onnit Food Products and Blendtec BlendersI must have missed this late last week when the new Onnit Hemp Force Vanill-Acai protein powder dropped, but in celebration of the new product release, Onnit also put all of its food products on sale at 16% off. You don’t have to enter an Onnit coupon code, either. Everything’s on sale within the Foods category on the Onnit website.

Things like the original Hemp Force ChocoMaca, the aforementioned Hemp Force Vanill-Acai, Hemp Force bars, Bulletproof Coffee, either bags or in bundles, and so many other things too numerous to mention here in one paragraph.

Another interesting item that’s on sale at 16% off is the Blendtec WildSide blender. This is the ultimate blender if you like making smoothies, or even your own salad dressings and things of that nature. This is the blender that Joe Rogan owns and uses on a daily basis to blend up his Hulk Loads. Yes, they are expensive with a regular retail price of $500, but now you can get one at 16% off.

I wish I wrote about this sale earlier, but as I said, I didn’t catch it in time. That being said, there’s still time left if you act quickly. The 16% off food products sale ends on Monday, September 30, 2013 at 11:59 CST, which is 12:59AM EST or 9:59PM PST. That’s today! Now’s the time to grab that blender you want, to try the new Hemp Force Vanilla, or to stock up on other Onnit food products.

Is Naked Juice Healthy?

Is Naked Juice Healthy? In the past I’ve written about Bolthouse Farms, and a large portion of the traffic that visits this website does so via Google searches for information about Bolthouse Farms juices and smoothies. Many of the people looking for that information are also looking for information about Naked Juices. Being a Canadian, I wasn’t sure what Naked Juice was, so I decided to take a closer look and see if Naked Juice is healthy for you, and if it’s healthier than Bolthouse Farms’ products.

First off, a little history about Naked Juice: the first Naked Juices were produced way back in 1983, with the name referring to the company’s claim that the juices had no artificial flavorings, sugar, or preservatives. Over time, the company grew along with consumer demand for more health-conscious drinks. In 2007, the company was purchased by PepsiCo in an effort to compete with Odwalla, a similar product from a company owned by Coca-Cola.

As you can see, the first red flag that should be raised is that Naked Juice is owned by Pepsi. Do you really expect a fruit juice that’s owned by a soda company to be good for you? There’s got to be something wrong with it, right? Well, it turns out there is, and a lawsuit was filed against the Naked Juice Company in 2011 which claimed the company was using false and misleading tactics to sell its juice.

Naked Juice decided to settle nearly a year later in December of 2012. It turns out that many of the ingredients listed as vitamins were actually synthetic and not natural. These were artificial sweeteners, fibers, and flavors. If that wasn’t enough, Naked Juice also contained GMO (genetically modified organisms) despite claiming that Naked Juice didn’t use GMO fruits and vegetables in its juice.

Today, Naked Juice is still made with fruits and vegetables that are mainly GMO-based, even after the lawsuit. Essentially, Naked Juice is targeting the people who are looking to eat or drink healthier but don’t know any better. Those who do know better choose superior products, such as the many varieties of juices and smoothies available from Bolthouse Farms.

Joe Rogan’s Favorite Things

Joe Rogan's Favorite ThingsIf you listen to The Joe Rogan Experience podcast, you know how Joe likes to go on and on about certain products that he loves. In many cases he’s not even advertising anything, he’s just speaking as someone who found something that works for him and he wants everyone else to experience the benefits of that particular product as well.

I’ve noticed a lot of traffic coming in from people who want to know what kind of blender does Joe Rogan use, what his favorite exercise DVD is, and what type of coconut water he drinks. In this brief post, I’ll outline what some of Joe Rogan’s favorite things are.

Joe Rogan’s favorite blender is the Blendtec Total Blender Home Wildside. It’s true at first he was recommending a Vitamix, but as he tried out the Blendtec, he changed his mind. There are benefits to each and features one has that the other doesn’t, but at the beginning of each day, Joe Rogan is making his hulk loads kale shakes in a Blendtec rather than a Vitamix.

Joe Rogan’s favorite kettlebell DVD is The Extreme Kettlebell Cardio Workout DVD. Joe has been going on for at least a couple of years now about the benefits of Keith Weber’s kettlebell DVD. He says that it only takes 20 or 30 minutes and a 30 lb. kettlebell to get your ass kicked. I’ve tried this DVD, and I can say that is without a doubt the truth. If you’re a beginner looking for a DVD, this isn’t the one for you. Try a kettlebell DVD from Amy Bento instead.

Joe Rogan’s favorite coconut water is C2O coconut water. Joe has tried a lot of coconut water, and he finds C2O coconut water to be the sweetest and most delicious. It’s made with a special type of coconut found in Thailand which sets it apart and above from all others, according to Joe. Being a Canadian, I’ve never tried it, as it doesn’t seem to be available anywhere up here.

That’s all I can think of for now. If you’re wondering about any other of Joe’s favorites, just leave a comment below and I’ll update this post.
